This project is an addition of a bridge, terrace, stairs and front entry truss from Alaska Yellow Cedar to a 1926 home in Pacific Grove. This is part of a renovation that included adding an apartment over the existing garage and connecting the apartment to the existing home with the enclosed timber frame bridge. The first phase, the bridge and deck were delivered and installed May 15, 2012. The stairs and entry truss were delivered in September and installed by the Pacific Post & Beam crew. We used 3/4″ copper pipe for the railings, a nice contrast to the cedar and matching the copper accents on the home. The gate was built by Tyler Turney in our shop and installed in December 2015.
The owners testimonial:
“We are so pleased with the work from Pacific Post & Beam. Terry and his team are easy to work with, and integrated easily into our local general contractor’s schedule. But best of all is the finished product; which is ‘eye candy’ that makes us smile every time we walk by…”
